Youth Program & Youth Program Accelerated Developed with guidance from Shaykh Rizwan Ali
Purpose
The purpose of these programs is to give middle and high school students basic Islamic knowledge in order to help them become successful in this life and in the hereafter, Insha’Allah. The goals of these programs are to
1. Develop the students’ relationship between themselves and Allah (swt) and their fellow human beings.
2. Give students the necessary tools to seek Islamic knowledge, and become leaders within their schools and model representatives of Islam to the community at large.
Insha’Allah these programs will help students implement the teachings of Islam in their everyday lives, and help the growth and development of the
American-Muslim Community.
Placement criteria
The students will be placed in Youth Program or Youth Program Accelerated based on the following criteria

Successful completion of ICN Weekend school Grade 6 and
1. The recommendation of the teacher based on student's level of maturity and motivation
2. Performance in the weekend school academics over the previous years

Note: An Assessment/Aptitude test is being developed for future use.
Duration: Four year program
Common Objectives
Insha’Allah, different topics will be covered each year, by the end of the session, the students will be able to do the following:
- Understand the basic principles of Faith (Aqeedah) and how it relates to their lives living in America
- Be introduced to the goals of the Shariah
- Be able to analyze and derive benefits pertaining to their own lives from major events of the Seerah (Makkan Period)
- Be able to analyze and derive benefits from selected hadeeth from Imam Al-Nawawi’s 40 hadeeth
The subjects will be reinforced, because Islamic Studies subject are all connected with each other. Additionally, Quranic Arabic classes will be taught and special topics relevant to the youth will be addressed (see Special topics below).

Memorize and know the tafseer and be able to derive benefits and lessons from last ¼ of the Quran. (AlBayyinah-Al-Nas)
Homeworks, quizzes, exams, presentations, and projects

ICN Youth Program Accelerated curriculum Islamic Studies topics
Understand the proofs, rules, and regulations pertaining to Taharah, Salah and Sawm
Memorize and know the tafseer and be able to derive benefits and lessons from last ½ of the Quran. (Al-Fajr-Al-Nas)
Have an introduction to the sciences of the Quran
Have an introduction to the Imams of the Four Major Schools of Fiqh, and appreciation for their efforts
Research, Homeworks, quizzes, exams, presentations, projects and papers

Special topic
Select topics relevant to middle and high school students will be covered by invited guest speakers. These topics include, but are not limited to, TV, Parties, Lowering Your Gaze, Dating, Drinking & Drugs, Music, Parents, Keeping Company, Clothing, Showing off, Insulting People, Envy & Jealousy, Scamming & Cheating, Internet, Pornography, Depression and Suicide, etc.
